‘Rethinking the Display of East Asian Art in Museums: Interpretation, Representation and the Art Market’ is a seminar hosted by the Music, Drama, Film and Museum Studies Research Unit, that will examine the collection and display of East Asian objects and images in Western museums. Leading scholars, curators and early career researchers will present papers focusing on three themes: interpretation, representation and the art market. The keynote lecture will be provided by Dr Louise Tythacott, from SOAS University of London.
